Strengthen delivery of immunization services with the OpenSRP 2-based Electronic Immunization Registry (EIR) product suite.
The Global Immunization Product Suite is built on the OpenSRP 2 platform using the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Standards-based, Machine-readable, Adaptive, Requirements-based, and Testable (SMART) Guidelines for routine child immunization.
It includes an EIR reference application that can be easily adapted to align with national immunization guidelines and deployed to integrate with existing health systems using the HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard.
The EIR app helps frontline health workers accurately register patients, automatically enroll them into immunization care plans, generate follow-up tasks in priority order, and record immunizations to ensure no one falls through the cracks.
The EIR reference application is configurable and can be customized to cater to facility and/or community-based healthcare workers; to target specific age groups or at-risk populations; to include relevant modules for related health service delivery (e.g. growth monitoring, stock management), and to support multiple languages.
It also integrates seamlessly with analytics dashboards for informed decision making, DHIS2 for aggregate reporting, and messaging platforms like RapidPro to create awareness and generate demand for immunization services.
